Our Partner, Mr. Man Sing Yeung FCIArb Chartered Arbitrator has been elected as the Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (East Asia Branch) in its 40th annual general meeting on 30 April 2012. The Institute was founded in 1915. The Institute is the world’s leading professional body for arbitration and ADR. The Institute promotes the use of ADR internationally through a membership of 12,000 practitioners in more than 110 countries. It has 36 branches and 36 chapters / groups over the world. It provides education training for arbitrators, mediators and adjudicators. The East Asia Branch covers the geographical area of China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, Taiwan and Mongolia. Thailand, formerly part of the Branch, was constituted as a separate branch in 2003 while Singapore established its own Branch in 2009.
